What to do at the Ceramics Museum in Fiorano
Start on a journey from the dawn of time to the present day: discover how prehistoric man reached the skyscrapers of New York with ceramics. Among the collections, don't miss the Labour section: an interactive tour suitable for the whole family awaits you.
From the first kilns for firing vases to hand lathes, brick moulds and potter’s tools; original artefacts and reproductions tell the story of the evolution of ceramics.
The birth and development of industrialisation and the first steps of mechanisation, a multimedia station brings to life work at the ceramic press.
Displays, like conveyor belts, tell the story of the “tile” serial product from pre-war to 2000.
An itinerary to listen to the voices of those who worked in the factories, a journey through time among the machines and their workers with a virtual guide; time tables and talking tiles, immersive projections and testimonies to be heard through the Kinect.
