Armed with a pen. Stories of women who made history
Historical trekking with readings. Departure from the parking lot of the Stradi Primary Schools, curated by Allacciati le storie and Cristina and Luciana Ravazzini
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the historical-literary trekking “Armate di penna” will accompany the participants on an easy urban journey to travel through the twentieth century to discover women who have made history with their intellectual commitment: Virginia Woolf, Sibilla Aleramo, Ada Negri, Gabriela Mistral and Elsa Morante. Excerpts from A room of one’s own (V. Woolf), A woman (S. Aleramo), The meeting (A. Negri), Lies and spells (E. Morante) will be read…
Historians will contextualize their life stories over time, emphasizing their commitment to women, for example in the request for political rights and in the denunciation of violence or the condition of subordination in which they live.
The route in stages along the streets of Maranello will thus enhance the presence of female figures in the town toponymy.
The last stop is scheduled along via 8 marzo to hear the true story of International Women’s Day.
