A112, the rally in the square

The seventh international A112 rally is scheduled for Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May in Piazza Libertà in Maranello, an event organised by the Club Motori Scuderia Modena Corse with the patronage of the Municipality of Maranello. The participation of several dozen cars is expected, coming from Italy, Germany, Holland, France and Bulgaria, which can be admired from 7 pm on Saturday to 9 am on Sunday.

The Autobianchi A112 is a utility car produced by the Italian car manufacturer Autobianchi from 1969 to 1986. It was presented in 1969 at the Turin Motor Show, obtaining enthusiastic acclaim. During its long career it underwent many restylings and improvements, which gave rise to eight subsequent series, during the 17 years of its production period. Of particular note is the Abarth model produced from 1971 to 1985, a sports version used over the years in all covered-wheel sports categories, gaining an impressive overall list of victories and still widely used in hill climb races or rallies reserved for historic cars.
