The son of Evaristo Scaramelli, Mayor of Maranello from 1967 to 1984, he had first-hand experience of Enzo Ferrari’s commitment to the Maranello community, especially with regard to sport, with the creation of the Polisportiva Maranello sport and leisure centre in 1975, as well as witnessing Ferrari’s development activities on the Fiorano circuit.
