The tracks of the Centro Fondo Boscoreale are located in Prati di San Geminiano, not far from the centre of Piandelagotti. This is the heart of the high Modenese Apennines, south of the Apennine ridge that separates Tuscany and Emilia, at the convergence of the provinces of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Lucca.
Because of its geographic location, the area is often subject to abundant snowfalls from December to March.
In addition to the Ski School, the Cross-Country Ski Centre offers trails suitable for all levels: red, blue and black runs of varying difficulty and length, for a total of over 40 km.
It is possible to ski in both skate and classic style.
Piandelagotti is located in the highest part of the Val Dragone, western gateway to the Frignano Nature Park and an important tourist centre for the municipality of Frassinoro since the early years of last century.
Piandelagotti, despite being a small village, has all the essential services to spend a holiday surrounded by the peace and quiet of the Apennines.
The options open to sports enthusiasts are numerous: historical trails, which can be followed on foot, mountain biking and horse-riding in summer, and of course cross-country skiing trails with a ski school, changing room and skis and snowshoes for hire; there are numerous sporting initiatives. Excursions are organised, even over several days, with snowshoes and cross-country skis, as well as inexpensive skiing weeks.
