The Museum of the Republic of Montefiorino and of the Italian Resistance

The Fortress di Montefiorino houses an important museum dedicated to the story of the Italian Resistance during the Second World War: a place to reflect, understand, remember.
To eternal memory

Located inside the Fortress, the Museum was completely refurbished in 2015.
The museum itinerary starts from the Fascist period, winds through the partisan struggle and reaches the liberation of Italy, focusing on the extraordinary experience of the Partisan Republic of Montefiorino of 1944, a part of the free zone established between the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
