The Toggiano Copper Mine

Are you an adventure enthusiast? Then the mines are for you.
For those who dare go in.

The Toggiano mine, so called because of its proximity to the town of the same name, is oriented in a west-east direction; it is T-shaped and consists of a central gallery, about 24 metres long, which forks into two branches at right angles to the entrance gallery, one towards the north, about 2 metres long and the other towards the south, about 8 metres long. To define the geometrical features of the Boccassuolo mines, reference was made to the results of the surveys carried out by Salvioli and Setti. The inside of the mine is in good condition. The rock forming the vault and the walls of the gallery are compact and devoid of any particular fracturing.
