The national preview of the film “Ferrari” is in Maranello: the film directed by Michael Mann and starring Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz is scheduled at the Enzo Ferrari Auditorium from 7 to 13 December.

An absolute premiere, hosted exclusively in Maranello and Modena, for the film which will be released in Italian cinemas on 14 December.

Engaging and spectacular, “Ferrari”, whose filming also involved the city of Maranello, tells the fascinating world of car racing in the 1950s, but also reveals the most intimate and personal aspects of Enzo Ferrari.

Oscar® nominee Adam Driver is Enzo Ferrari; alongside him the Oscar® winner Penélope Cruz in the role of his wife Laura, Shailene Woodley in that of Lina Lardi, Patrick Dempsey and Jack O’Connell in the role of the pilots Piero Taruffi and Peter Collins respectively. Also in the cast are Sarah Gadon (Linda Christian) and Gabriel Leone, who plays the young and ambitious pilot Fon De Portago.

Screening times:

• Friday 15 December – 9pm – at 8.45pm the screening of the film will be introduced by a chat between Vincenzo Gibiino, president of the Ferrari Club Italia, Erik Haugen, American actor (in the film he plays Edmund Nelson, Alfonso de Portago’s co-driver at the Mille Miglia) and Gabriele Lalli of Ferrari Classiche, the Cavallino department dedicated to vintage “red cars”. An opportunity to discover some aspects of the film, including philological reconstructions of the races and racing cars. Also present to say hello was Maranello’s deputy mayor Mariaelena Mililli. Some Ferraris belonging to Ferrari Club Italia members will be on display outside the Auditorium. And at 9pm the screening of the film.
