One of the most represented plots in Paris in the early 18th century, proposed here for the first time in the modern era, Il mute per feroe represents a great homage to the Commedia dell’Arte and to the all-Italian ability to make a virtue out of necessity. This “Harlequin”, certainly original for the choice of plot and for the desire to bring the Commedia dell’Arte back to the fore with its repertoire of tools of the trade such as acting, singing, dancing, stage combat, jokes and the improvisation testifies to the choice of wanting to create an “art theater for everyone”, as the true and profound vocation of Stivalaccio Teatro. A popular theatre, but full of ideas, in which the tradition of the Commedia dell’Arte is dismantled and reassembled with the interpretation and reading tools of the 21st century, a show in which play, invention, love, fear and drama mix, hidden by the immovable grimaces of the masks and the skill of the performers.
