“Zidane’s melancholy”
Reading with Malik Cherif from the text by Jean-Philippe Toussaint. Music and soundtracks by Luca Perciballi.

2006: final of the Football World Championship. The text by the French philosopher Toussaint recounts the sensational gesture of Zidane, a prosaic reality described in a poetic tone and illustrated as an aesthetic act. The headboard becomes the calligraphic and romantic image of a hero struck by the purest melancholy. Literature clashes with sport and shows that it has the last word.
