Mabic

The Mabic (Maranello Biblioteca Cultura) town library building is a multipurpose location that also hosts meetings, exhibitions and cultural events.
The building, designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and Andrea Maffei is another addition to the list of fine architectural projects undertaken in Maranello, such as the Wind Tunnel by Renzo Piano, the Cittadella Ferrari by Massimiliano Fuksas and the Ferrari engine assembly building by Jean Nouvel.
The Mabic’s sinuous, transparent forms are reflected in the pool which surrounds it. Large windows provide plenty of natural daylight in the interior and give a view of the greenery which covers the boundary walls.
The Mabic is an open space that dialogues with the outside world, where traditional book-based culture thrives in harmony with the latest technologies.
