Home / Prancing Horse Monument
The prancing horse is the symbol that identifies Ferrari worldwide. In 2003 it also became a work of art, presented to the Municipality of Maranello by Albanian-born artist Helidon Xhixha.
This massive stainless steel statue, five metres high and weighing 800 kilograms, was placed in the middle of the Via Grizzaga roundabout on 14 October 2003, shortly after Ferrari’s victory in the 2003 Formula One world championship.
It is a strategic and highly significant position, very close to the new Ferrari production buildings and the Wind Tunnel.
Another important symbol is the monument to Enzo Ferrari, located near to the Firma di Enzo monument and the Town Hall.
After viewing these monuments, visitors may like to take a walk along the Strada della Storia.
