Lambrusco

Cheerfulness in a bottle

Lambrusco is a sparkling, fresh, light and easy wine. Its rosy, lively froth accompanies festive toasts and convivial occasions in all seasons.

Today, it is the best-selling Italian red wine in Italy and is exported worldwide.

It goes perfectly with typical Emilian cured meats, stuffed pasta and gnocco fritto.

It is obtained from black grapes, mostly grown in Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy.

The Lambrusco production areas are the provinces of Modena, Parma and Reggio Emilia, from which derive four distinct PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) products, each with its character and its ideal pairings: Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, Lambrusco Sorbara, Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce and Lambrusco Reggiano.

Lambrusco is mainly appreciated and drunk by the inhabitants of its land, who have been producing and consuming it for centuries. Viticulture has indeed a very long tradition and an important history in Emilia, dating back even to Roman times.

We can therefore say that Lambrusco is a wine with a clear identity, which continues to reap great success thanks to the perfect combination of quality and tradition.
